Carson's 7 Month Update

Carson is so much fun. Here's what he's been up to:

-He rolls everywhere! 

-He's not crawling but sometimes he does this cute scoot thing on his bum. 

-Another tooth popped through. He's got 3 now. I think more may be coming in though.

-He still loves all kinds of baby food. And he still doesn't like nursing very much. And somewhere in the past few months he stopped taking a bottle...? So getting him to drink anything has been a challenge. I'm at a loss.

-He's not as happy as he was last month. Ever since we got back from Arizona, he's been a grump and teething. So that hasn't been too fun. Thank you Ashley for teaching us about Kidstv123 on Youtube. It has been a life savor! That is the only thing that keeps Carson happy for more than 5 minutes.

-He's growing more hair and it's coming in lighter! I think he's going to have light brown hair. Some patches are pure blonde though. He's got 2 different colors going right now--it's cute.

Arizona 2012

We got to fly to Arizona this Summer and it was so much fun! Carson did pretty good flying. I was so incredibly nervous about it. He did cry a little on the way there but we sat next to a nice guy who didn't mind...the 3 beers he drank must have helped. On the way back he slept the whole way! He did great.

We went swimming and Carson loved his blow up chair. He almost fell asleep in it at one point. He was so relaxed!

We had so much fun! It was so good seeing all the new babies and family. We miss everyone already!

Ohio Visit

We drove to Ohio to visit Jimett and Tom and her family. We celebrated Jimett's birthday and attended baby Camille's blessing. Trevor and Karin & Grandpa Wes and Emmy were there too. It was great to see them! We had a lot of fun spending time with family. 

Carson loved meeting his great-grandparents and playing with his cousins!

Carson's 6 Month & Father's Day

This boy is 6 months and super cute! He is happy all the time and takes great naps! He loves all kinds of baby food and is just a sweetheart. I love that I can set him down and give him something to play with and he'll just sit there and play. I am loving this stage so much! We started giving him those little puffs--it is adorable watching him learn how to grab one and put it in his mouth.

Happy 26

Cory turned 26 yesterday! 

We did everything he wanted to do. 

Which basically involved a relaxing day at home. :)

Another Carson Update

My 5 month old has done lots of growing this past month.

5 months!

-He dropped his 4th nap! It was so hard for both him and I to adjust to. It took well over a week.

-His hair is growing back.

I'm pretty sure about a month ago he was completely bald on top.

-He has tried all fruits and vegetables available at Wal-Mart. And he likes everything--just like his dada!

-Remember how he sometimes cries? The "mouuuumm" cry? Well, now that he's babbling he says, "mommmm, mommm, mommm" over and over. I love it! And he says, "Ba ba ba."

-He's getting really good at sitting up. I'll set him on our bed and he'll sit there for quite some time before toppling over. 

 

He loves:

-Cuddling with his dada. He does this all the time. Even when he's not tired.

He loves hiding in blankets. We find him like this quite frequently. He gets real still and quiet. 

He loves stroller rides! We walked along the Mississippi a few weeks ago. It was fun except we walked longer than we should have. Carson had a meltdown on the way back.

He finally likes his jumper. It took him awhile to understand it really was a fun thing!

And we like dressing him up.

4 Month Photo Bomb.

Whoa, this past month has gone by so fast! And I don't usually say things like that. So take my word for it. It went by speedy fast! Carson is 4 1/2 months old and a lot of things have happened. 

He rolled over.

He still loves to read.

He became more intrigued with the television.

He was a grump on St. Patrick's Day

He fell asleep after the park and looked so stinkin' cute here--I had to snap a pic.

We had Easter.

He had his first real swing ride.

We visited Mall of America.

He loves to look at fish.

The car ride home. Before his meltdown.

He tried rice cereal.

He lost all his hair on top by the way.

He turned 4 months.

He loves playing on his side. Won't roll to his tummy though. He despises being on his tummy. Sometimes as soon as I put him down for tummy time, he hurries and rolls to his back.

 

"Hurry and look Mom! I'm about to roll to my tummy!"

"Not! Gotcha!"

He was supposed to be laying on top of this blanket. We looked over and he was rolled up in it--laughing and cooing away.

And he's teething. His bottom two are popping through. I don't have a picture of that yet, but I'm sure I will soon. Boy was he a fuss. I think the worst is over (fingers-crossed!) And--he's learned how to bite! I mean that is a very sarcastic way, of course.
