Palmer Halloween Party

We had fun at the Palmer trick-or-treat--even though we LOST! BOO!

We were a bubble bath!
We lost to the baby dressed as a dragon--Palmer's mascot. So of course he had to win. We still had fun though!

He looked so cute crawling around.
Did you know there is such a thing as printing and ironing?? We did a little copy and paste if you know what I mean...
After we ripped his costume off, he went straight for his candy. We love this picture! Ha ha ha! So cute!

Pride of the Wapsi

The pumpkin patch!
The boy loves goats.

Niabi Zoo

We went to the zoo and Carson loved it!

We fed the giraffes!
They have some of the birds flying around in the building you walk through--which was a little scary for me.
While we were there, one of the lions started fighting another lion! It was crazy because we were only a few feet away. This lion rawred soooooo loud! I got scared! But it was way cool.

Carson's 10 Month Update

-This little guy is looking more and more like a LITTLE BOY!

-He's pretty much down to one nap already. He could still use 2 but I usually can't get him down for a second nap for the life of me! So I've been doing 1 most days and I actually like it!

-He learned what kisses are. Whenever we say, "Can I have a kiss?" he leans in and puts his forehead conveniently on our lips. It's the sweetest thing.

-The past few days he has been standing all by himself for a few seconds before he plops down. A couple times he has stood there and started clapping for himself!

-We got him a few trains (Thomas, Henry, and James) at a yard sale a few weeks ago and he LOVES them! I can just say, "Where are your trains?" and he crawls as fast as he can to pick them up.

-He has been doing this cute thing the past month or so. Whenever we pick him up from bed after he wakes up, he will take his paci out of his mouth and throw it in his crib. He knows it's only for bed/nap time. Sometimes he forgets and we have to say, "Put your paci down." and he does! It's been so weird talking to him and having him understand!

-He pretty much babbles his lips with his finger ALL day long! His dadda taught him that, along with picking his nose. Thankfully, he doesn't do that all day long.

-Whenever Cory comes home, Carson crawls really fast to the door and waits for him to open it. He gets so excited when he comes home! It's so precious.

-At his 9 month check-up, the doctor noticed his love for carrots and sweet potatoes. He has some orange tinging on his nose and feet. ha ha!

For some reason, this month was really hard. I think he did some major growing this past month. And he was sick. And his nap situation was not fun. But he has been super funny and he does new things everyday. I love it! He is so sweet and we love him so much!

My 23rd.

It was my birthday on Monday and it was great! Cory didn't have class! This was so nice because he had just finished boards on the Saturday before. So we hadn't seen too much of him. I felt like a single mom. I'm sure I'll have many more days and weeks of those here to come.

Anyway, we went grocery shopping and Target shopping. And we had dinner at a nearby Mexican restaurant. Carson had a fit at dinner though. Like crying and screaming and kicking his legs. Nothing really calmed him down. He has never acted that way. He is usually fine if there is food in front of him. I wanted to just leave and take our food with us but Cory convinced me to stay. It was so bazaar because Carson was fine once we got home. I have no clue what was wrong with him.  Once Carson was in bed, Cory and I watched a chick flick. It was great to spend some time together! I had a great day!

Baby Leggings.

Baby leggings are not just for girls.
Boys can rock them too. I seriously want to make 10 more pair. These are so fun and easy and fast to make. Here's the tutorial. Now he can crawl around without poor hurt red knees.

Basket liner and lamp shade re-do.

So, I really have been trying to keep myself busy and occupied. I've been baking and crafting and reading and watching Pretty Little Liars. Anything to keep me from thinking about Eden too much. It has really been helping me. If I start dwelling, I start crying--and I can't stop. So this past month I've done a few things to keep me going.

I've been wanting to re-do a lampshade for awhile now. My friend Nicole was having a yard sale and was selling the perfect lampshade for my project. Thanks, Nicole! Here's what I did:
I messed up the first time I attempted this. The top of the shade is a little smaller than the bottom, so it was a little tricky. I can't find the exact tutorial I saw. But if you search Pinterest I'm sure you'll get the idea. This was so fun and I love how it turned out!

I used the extra fabric to re-do a basket.
The ugly before and much better after. This was way easier than I thought it would be. And it was really fun. If I had more fabric, I'd do it to the other baskets I have. I didn't have a tutorial for this one--which I'm proud of. I just ripped apart the original and used it as a pattern. :) I felt very crafty once I was done.
